Filming/camera work

Interviewer to sit or stand as close to the camera as possible.

Interviewee positioned to the left or right of the shot, further for interviewer having to sit or stand on opposite side of camera.

Interviewee filmed with light in front of them not behind or at the side of them.

The mise-en-scene relates to the subject of the interview.

Interviewee should not look directly into the camera.

The framing should follow the rule of thirds.

Filmed in medium close up, close up or a mid shot.
